QUALITY CONTROL

All products are manufactured according to international G.M.P. production standards. (G.M.P.=Good Manufacturing Practice).
When purchasing its raw materials , Petherbs complies fully with the international CITES regulation. These are regulations about the protection of endangered species of wild fauna and flora, issued by the Washington Convention.

The raw materials are purchased from specialist herb growers. They need to meet with the highest quality standards.

For this, the raw materials are subjected to a very strict inspection:

  • Identification by macroscopic and microscopic examination
  • Chemical identification
  • Checking pureness and quality
  • Analytical inspection of the active contents with the aid of the heavy metal limit test, microbiological test , TLC test (Thin Layer Chromatography, HPLC test (High Pressure Liquid Chromatography)
  • Inspecting the presence of Sulphate, Ethanol residue, Aristolochic acid, Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, Chorate, Organic Phosphate, heavy metals, pesticide residue, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus), Salmonella, Escherichia coli(E.coli), Staphylococcus, Aflatoxins en Salmonella.

For every raw material a certificate of analysis is made. On this all technical data are recorded, like:

Batch number, product name, botanical name, manufacturing date, complete physical control, complete chemical quality control and complete microbiological quality control.

With this the raw materials profusely meet the standard of the "National Nutrition Foods Association".
